Week 2: Pinch Technique – The Art of Simplicity
Start shaping with your hands using the traditional pinch method. Create small bowls or cups while developing an intuitive feel for clay.
Week 3: Slab Building – Flat Forms to Fabulous Forms
Work with rolled-out slabs of clay to create structured objects like trays, plates, or wall art. Learn to cut, join, and construct using templates.
Week 4: Coil Technique – Spirals with Structure
Explore coiling, one of the oldest pottery methods. Stack and smooth clay coils to create vases and organic shapes with your unique flair.
Week 5: Pinch + Coil Fusion – Building Confidence
Combine the pinch and coil methods to build more complex forms. Gain hands-on experience blending techniques for creative expression.
Week 6: Introduction to Wheel – Centering and Air Bubble Removal
Step onto the wheel! Learn to center clay and remove air pockets while keeping your hands steady and your mind focused.
Week 7: Lifting & Shaping – From Cylinder to Mug
Continue wheel practice with lifting techniques and shaping clay into simple forms like a cup or mug. Discover how pressure and posture make all the difference.
Weeks 8–10: Wheel Practice – Skill Deepening
